Gulf Air Reunion 2012.

Each year there are new reunionists wishing to keep in contact with previous work collegues, reminice and meet up with existing and old friends. A real opportunity for those who were fortunate to reside and work from that desert island in the Arabian Gulf and the stations and offices within the GF network.

The nucleus of the reunion enjoys the patronage of ground, engineering, flying staff and their families, a crucial element in making the reunion the success which it has become. We enjoy the company of those who grace us from the Atipodes to the UK, it is a very unique experience.

Most importantly, I would like to thank all of you who patronize the reunion and the spirit of it, without your attendance, emails and photographs the ethos would not exist in the way it does.

Graduation, team photographs, with names and dates, change of home and/or email address', send them to my email address, johneredding@aol.com headed GF Reunion, this will enable me to stir the nostalgia, present a bigger picture and keep everyone up to date.

The all important. 12th May 2012. Same venue, same time 12:00, same price £30.00. See you there if not before.

                                                          Gulf Air Reunion 2011.

All reunions are a very enjoyable event to attend, this years reunion was special.

Was it because it was Ding's last year and the presentation of three matching pieces of lead crystal to a lady who had worked consistently in keeping the reunion in focus and available for us to attend and enjoy?

Was it because Richard Vaughen (Emirates) and Peter Hill (Oman Air) who attended and presented the reunions raffle with two free guaranteed seats per airline from LHR to DXB/MCT return or the beautiful travelling bag Gaynor Morgan donated from her new Airline collection, then it could have been the six well produced and presented CD's donated by Billy McGrory, a compilation of individuals favourite musical tracks during their time on the Island, the bottles of wine also donated, or was it the people?

It was thouroughly enjoyable and as usual a large number of the team used the facility of the Club House for further enjoyment for afters and then went on to The White Horse, Longford for a meal and wind down.

Thank you to everyone who attended and those of you who support the reunion but were unable to share the day with us.

It is uplifting to see the faces of newer employees, the future of the reunion mixing so well with the original crew. We all have something in common and find it easy to share.

The Big Bang, mid-term reunion, same venue at The Airport Hotel, Manchester Airport, on the 5th November 2011. Invitations will be forwarded to all of those who have provided their upto date email address' and also through facebook.

Once again thank you Ding for all of your hard work. The reunion is now in the capable hands of Chris Essen.

Hopefull see you at The Big Bang.
