2008 Reunion Dear friends, What an amazing day we had at this years reunion. Our numbers were not as great as we have had in the past, 73 attended, but it was made up for by the fun and relaxed atmosphere. What was also nice was to see several new faces amongst the guests, collegues who were with the company in the nineties.We made them very welcome and in no time they were reminiscing with the best of them. They say they enjoyed it so much and want to come back for more!   We have had a lot of feedback from friends who thought this years party was the best ever. We did notice a change in as much as more people want to contribute to make future reunions even better, more of which in a moment. Some of you may have noticed an album on the table as you came in. This was sent to us by Carol Tilley which she discovered when she was having a clear out. The album dated 1983-1987 was a record of the first Gulf Air reunions organised by Jack Payne (Catering Payne as he was usualy known) As well as photographs it contains letters to potential reunionists and some of the costings of the time. It was held in Salisbury. This brings us to a bit of a confession. We were a year out on our calculations of how long the reunions have been going. As you can see from the above album dates, this years reunion was our 25th not 24th. So for next year we need to do something a bit special.  Firstly by having as many of you there as possible, it's you that make the day. A note for your diaries,the 2009 reunion will take place on Saturday 16th May at BA Concorde club. This we are assured will be refurbished by then, hooray!!  Also Chris and David Parker want to make a collage of photo's to display next year. To this end they want you to send in old pictures from your Gulf Air days, if they are embarrassing so much the better! You can email to chris.parker-burton@talktalk.net or post them. He will copy and send them back to you. Chris will give you his address if you email him. Laurel Winters said she would donate some of her beauty products for us to raffle next year. So many thanks Laurel. It will soon be time to get down to planning next years reunion.So thank you all who came along and made it fun and thanks to you who emailed with feedback. See you in 2009.
